About Me

My name is Jeffry Romero, and I am an 18-year-old first-year student at The City College of New York. This course changed how I approach writing, especially by teaching me that writing is a process. I learned how to start a first draft without overthinking, revise my work more effectively, and better understand my audience and purpose. I also developed skills in analyzing texts, using rhetorical strategies, and integrating sources through summarizing and synthesizing while keeping my own voice. This portfolio shows my growth over the semester and the progress I’ve made as a writer, and it reflects skills I will continue to use in future classes at CCNY.
